Foxy is Back. Foxy is Better.

After a month without seeing him, Foxy reappeared in last night's mist and his leg seems better. He is no longer limping. Evidently, that BOSH! dog food that YP sent him helped enormously. It prolongs active life and is enriched with nourishing marrow jelly. BOSH! makes foxes bounce with health. Eight out of ten owners prefer it. It’s no meat: a real treat. It refreshes the parts. It is so good he is considering becoming vegan. He already has the pointy ears. Oh! Sorry, we might be confusing that with Vulcan.

  1. So good to see him/her back - just shows that he recovered without the use of hospitals, osteopaths, district nurses and the like. Animals are so resilient aren't they. Do you leave food for him or are you just one of his nightly 'ports of call'?

    1. We left out food for two or three nights, but as he did not visit we stopped. However, I have just added a bit to the blog post that may explain things a bit.

    1. If you had an infra-red camera, you could have eyes like that too, unless you already have.

  3. Foxy is very cautious, constantly looking towards the house with the camera.

    1. The camera was on a stool on the ground in the middle of the path and he looks a bit concerned. Previously it was nearer the house on a table.

    1. Yes. It will be interesting to see how often he visits now.

    1. They should change the cats eyes for fox eyes.

  6. I love when you see the end of a story. We never found out what happened to the tiny little fox we saw. I always look for it though.

    1. We have only ever seen this one on the IR night cam. They tend not to come in the gardens because there is so much open country around here.

  7. Are you sure he is the right fox? He will need feeding through the winter months.

    1. I feel fairly sure it is - it lifts and rests its paw briefly at one point. He seemed to survive last winter because we first spotted him around February. Possibly someone else feeds him.

  8. Great news! (Though I must admit I had the same thought as Thelma!) Amazing what a vegan diet can do. :)

    1. Perhaps BOSH! are missing out on an opportunity. I would accept 0.1p per packet for the idea.

  9. Yay for foxy. Looking well fed and well furred. It's amazing how scruffy looking they get in the summer and what a difference a full coat of fur makes.

  10. PS i nearly tripped over our allotment fox the other day. He looked most offended.

    1. Ours has only ever appeared on the night camera, although Phoebe did run back into the house terrified one morning.

  11. Well, it's for sure his eyes are as bright as ever.

    1. I would have bright eyes too under the glare of an infra-red light.

  13. A ghostly fox apparition appearing out of the mist. Splendid!

    1. No apparition, it's real. Or at least I have never known an apparition that leaves poo on the lawn.

  14. The BOSH! legal team will be in touch with you shortly. I am sure that a suitable financial settlement can be agreed without you having to go to court. This apart, I am pleased to see that Foxy Loxy has effectively healed himself.

    1. But this post has nothing but praise for it. I have never heard of anyone facing legal actions from an entity they have reviewed in glowing terms. It is not as if I am asking for a fee.

    2. Marrow jelly never features in vegan recipes.

    3. Not sure if you remember, but it was PAL enriched with marrowbone jelly. The others are all based on ad slogans too.
